Dear SSG member,

The SSG board hold an extraordinary meeting on December 8^th, to discuss how the current COVID-19 situation is affecting the coming working group meeting in Malmö.
Restrictions are being imposed in certain Departments in Oslo on travels of health professionals until the end of the year. It is possible that this restriction will be extended to other Norwegian centers as well.
In Denmark there are now restrictions on participation in meetings and gatherings that include more than 50 persons. It is quite possible that these restrictions in both countries will continue in January as well.
The last date to cancel the meeting without any penalty is on the 20^th of December and it is unlikely that the situation will be positively changed by then.
We have therefore sadly decided to cancel the face-face working group meeting in Malmö in January and we have asked the chairpersons of the various subcommittee to hold their respective working group meetings virtually. It is up to the individual subcommittee to decide whether to hold the meeting on the same date i.e., January 10^th and/or the 11^th or at any other date but preferably not later than the end of January.
